What I'm doing here

At the moment, obviously, nothing. But my plan is to reserve DW for fannish content. Time (or the lack thereof) is only one reason for the near-extinction of Buffy-related stuff or other pop culture musings on LJ. I had originally created that space specifically to be away from everyone else I knew online, people not interested in BtVS, or interested but without the uber-geekish inclination to analyze and reflect. I wanted to be where all the other excited and engaged BtVS fans lived--and those other people, I knew, would never go poking around LiveJournal.

Until, of course, they all migrated over there. And while I'm not so thin-skinned I can't take a bit of teasing, I still don't feel comfortable going into detail about episodes or themes and having to deal with comments from people remarking on how silly it is to be talking about a show that's been off the air six years, and wasn't so deep to begin with.

So, this way I can keep LJ for occasional diarizing, and hopefully get back into the habit of posting reflections over here. I won't be cross-posting, and I probably won't even make any sort of official announcement over there, since that would kind of defeat the purpose.

In other words, if you're interested in reading some meta and/or occasional brief thoughts on (but not limited to) BtVs/AtS--next up, Dollhouse--then watch this space.
